Nursery Curriculum
We aim to enhance childrens experience, promote self esteem and encourage respect for others, through the six areas of learning, whilst meeting the individual needs of your child.

Personal and Social Development
Children will learn to understand the joy of playing, working, sharing and mixing with other children as individuals and in groups outside the family unit. Children will develop sensitivity to the needs and feelings of others.

Creative Development
We aim to foster the development of your childs imagination, encouraging them to express their ideas and communicate their feelings in creative ways. Children will learn to respond to what they see, hear and feel.

Language and Literacy
By associating sounds with patterns in rhymes, with syllables and with words and letters, the children develop skills in talking and listening and in reading and writing. They will enjoy books and learn to care for them.

Knowledge and Understanding of the World
We encourage children to develop knowledge and understanding of their environment, to enable them to talk about where they live, their families and past and present events in their own lives. Children use technology to support their learning where appropriate.

Mathematics
We encourage children to develop an awareness of numeracy. The children compare, match, order, sort, sequence and count using everyday objects, through these activities children will recognise and use numbers to ten. The children will have an understanding of larger numbers, and of numerical operations such as addition, subtraction and become familiar with mathematical language.

Physical Development
Indoors and outdoors the children will use a wide range of small and large equipment, balancing and climbing apparatus. Children will show an awareness of space and of others. They will show increasing skill, control and co-ordination when using appropriate tools, objects and construction materials.
